Proposed locations, drilling details, and well design specifics will be
transmitted to the RWQCB for approval prior to obtaining permits and scheduling field work.
KLIF
A report will be prepared for submittal to the RWQCB that presents the procedures used and
results obtained for each monitoring event. This report will also describe the well replacement
activities described above. This report will be reviewed, signed, and stamped by a California
Professional Geologist. The report will be submitted by August 1, 2006.
The water level measurements will be used to calculate the actual direction of groundwater flow
and the hydraulic gradient at the site. This information will be provided in text and graphic form
in the report.
The laboratory report will be reviewed for consistency with the chain of custody and the quality
assurance data will be reviewed to determine analytical accuracy. The concentrations of the
target analytes will be compared to applicable standards to determine the level of impact to the
water beneath the site. All data and relevant evaluations will be incorporated into the report.
SCHEDULE
Cove Contractors is prepared to complete the scope of work described in this document upon
agency approval. Field activities will be scheduled as soon as possible following approval based
on subcontractor availability. The first round of groundwater sampling is proposed for second
quarter 2006, with the next sampling event scheduled for July 2006 in order to meet the
reporting deadline set by the CAO. Following completion of two rounds of sampling, Cove
Contractors will evaluate the data and propose well relocation specifics to the RWQCB.
S:\ES\Proj\P03242\Groundwater\Workplan 2006\GW_installation and abandon ment_WPL_FINAL.doc
