Cove Landfill is a "Disposal site" as defined in Public Resources Code <br />Section 40122. Therefore, a closure plan will be necessary which meets the requirements of <br />Title 14, Division 7, California Code of Regulations (CCR), Chapter 3, Article 7.8. Our intention <br />is to work with you as the lead agency for this project under the authority of the CCR. <br />Cove Landfill is not subject to the closure & postclosure maintenance and financial assurances <br />requirements of 14 CCR, Chapter 5, Articles 3.4 and 3.5 in accordance with 14 CCR, 18250. <br />CEQA may be required. Contact the City of Stockton, Division of Community Development <br />for CEGA requirements. <br />Please submit a Closure Plan and Postclosure Plan to San Joaquin County Public Health <br />Services, Environmental Health Division (EHD) by May 22, 1994.
