EI Dorado Street, Stockton
This Department recommends a site assessment be required at this landfill based on
findings in our five year permit review dated September 3, 1993. Several significant
findings were as follows:
Monitoring data for auto shredder waste (ASW) shows extractable metallic
concentrations in excess of designated levels for groundwater quality at this
site. See Report of Waste Discharge (RWD) for 1990.
ASW is in direct contact with the groundwater (RWD 1990).
- Follow-up sampling/analysis have not been adequate.
Further investigation will be necessary to determine the nature and extent of
contamination at this site. The CIWMB concurs with this recommendation (please
refer to their site assessment March 10, 1992 attached).
If you have any questions, please call Carol
Specialist, y staff at (209) 468-3440.
a ie Cotulla, Program Manager
E vironmental Health Division
cc: Scott Walker, CIWMB
Oz, Registered Environmental Health
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services 10
