0 0 <br /> clouds that are thick enough to produce a shadow (100 percent sunshine = no cloud cover and a <br /> sharp distinct shadow;0 percent sunshine=no shadows). <br /> b A normal work ensemble consists of cotton coveralls or other cotton clothing with long sleeves and <br /> pants. <br /> The most common symptoms of heat stress can include heat rash, lightheadedness, headache, <br /> thirst, disorientation, nausea, and muscle cramps. Heat exhaustion symptoms may include <br /> many of those listed above as well as flushed clammy skin, vomiting and unconsciousness. Heat <br /> stroke is the most serious form of heat stress. Symptoms of heat stroke include hot dry skin, <br /> unconsciousness,irregular heartbeat, heart attack and death. <br /> Any member of the work team who exhibits these symptoms should immediately be removed from <br /> the area and observed while resting in a shaded area after removal of impervious or restrictive <br /> clothing and after consumption of cool water or electrolyte fluid. If symptoms persist, immediate <br /> medical attention shall be sought. <br /> 3.2.10 CONFINED SPACE ENTRY <br /> If excavations extend to a total depth of 4 feet or greater, they must be sloped or shored in <br /> accordance with Title 8, California Code of Regulations, Section 1541.1 (8 CCR 1541.1). <br /> Confined space entry procedures are not likely to apply at this Site. If confined space entry is <br /> necessary, the entry will only be performed by properly trained personnel using appropriate <br /> equipment as required by 8 CCR 1541.1. <br /> 3.2.11 NOISE HAZARDS <br /> Workers shall be instructed in the recognition of noise hazards and shall be provided,and trained in <br /> the use of, hearing protective devices.
