In addition, the operator will notify the LEA by telephone within 24 hours of all <br /> incidents requiring the implementation of emergency procedures. <br /> 3.4.1 WEIGHT AND VOLUME RECORDS <br /> The transfer station keeps records of each transaction on the truck scale <br /> computer including the origin of waste in accordance with 14 CCR, Section <br /> 18809. The weight of daily incoming waste and recyclable materials is recorded <br /> by source, material type and tonnage and entered into a computer data base. <br /> Records of monthly quantities of recyclable materials received, sold and <br /> inventoried are also recorded. Inventory records include the material location, <br /> volume and density. Density of the incoming material is determined using a bulk <br /> density test. Density of the waste material is used to convert the weight into <br /> volume. Outgoing waste is weighed and a record is maintained for the facility. <br /> 3.4.2 SPECIAL OCCURRENCES <br /> Operating personnel are trained to report any special occurrences to the MRF <br /> and transfer station supervisors. The supervisors report the incident to the <br /> General Manager. All site managers and supervisors are authorized to make an <br /> entry in the Special Occurrences Log Book. Special occurrences that may be <br /> recorded in the log book include: <br /> • Fire <br /> • Injury <br /> • Property damage <br /> • Explosions <br /> • Hazardous Waste Incidents . <br /> • Flooding <br /> • Other unusual occurrences <br /> The log records the date, time and a detailed explanation of the incident.
