3.1.10 WASTEWATER DISPOSAL <br />Wastewater from the facility is generated in the following areas: <br />• Employee restrooms/sanitary sources <br />• Transfer station and Material Recover Facilities Waste handling <br />areas <br />Facility Wash <br />Bays <br />Wastewater generated from the sanitary facilities is directly discharged <br />into the city sanitary sewer system. Wastewater generated through <br />contact with waste materials or the truck wash flows into a clarifier for <br />reduction of high BOD and suspended solids prior to discharge into the <br />city sanitary sewer system. <br />3.1.11 MANAGEMENT OF UNIVERSAL WASTE, TREATED WOOD WASTE, <br />AND TEMPORARY HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE <br />COLLECTION EVENTS <br />The CVVVSMRF CVWS accepts Universal Waste in its daily <br />operations via loadcheck activities and holds up to four (4) Universal <br />Waste collection events per year under the auspices of local agencies <br />such as the City of Lodi and the San Joaquin County Department of <br />Public Works Solid Waste Division. <br />Universal Waste collection events will be staffed by trained contractor <br />personnel. The procedures for the management of Universal Wastes at <br />collection events are as follows. <br />• Customers will be directed to the appropriate area for unloading. <br />This area will most likely be in the North-east vicinity of the <br />appliance pad -:facility, but may be changed as needed. On-site <br />staff will direct unloading of materials. <br />• After materials are unloaded from the vehicle, they will be sorted <br />by type for packaging as follows: <br />Central Valley Waste Services-MRI=F 3-10 <br />Transfer _/Processing Report <br />Section 3 - 3A 5/-134/24/17 <br />
