the area is sprayed with an appropriate fly control agent and wet <br />material is removed so larvaie will not return. Chain-link fence and <br />masonry walls around the property also prevent the entrance of larger <br />rodents (animals) into the facility. A regular maintenance program to <br />prevent vector problems is conducted by a professional exterminator. <br />In addition a sonic bird repeller called the "Bird X Peller" was installed <br />in April of 2012 & updated in 2017 to assist as a bird deterent. <br />3.2.9 TRAFFIC CONTROL <br />Pursuant to 14 CCR, Section 17418.3, traffic flow through the <br />CVWS shall be controlled to prevent interference with <br />or creation of a safety hazard on adjacent public streets or roads, on- <br />site safety hazards and interference with operations. Adequate on-site <br />(off public street) parking for transfer vehicles is provided at the <br />GVVVSMRF CVWS as shown on Figure 2. <br />The facility is accessed by Turner Road which is accessible by surface <br />streets or Highway 99. Most traffic activity on site occurs from 9:00 <br />a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Traffic flow on site is generally controlled by the <br />scale house attendant who attempts to minimize impacts on adjacent <br />public roads. The traffic flow plan for the facility is shown on Figure 7. <br />3.3 STATION IMPROVEMENTS <br />3.3.1 ROADS <br />In accordance with 14 CCR, Section 17409.1 all roads and driveways at <br />the site are designed and constructed to withstand daily loading and <br />minimize the generation of dust. Pot -holes in the paved surfaces are <br />repaired promptly with a similar material.
