storage areas, in traffic areas and in parking areas. Site lighting is
installed according to all City and County standards.
3.3.8 SITE SECURITY
In accordance with 14 CCR, Section 17418.1, site security at the
facility is provided. An eight -foot high masonry wall or an eight -foot
high slatted chain-link fence surrounding the entire facility provides
station security. Entrance gates are locked after normal operating
hours. Yard lights are kept on during night hours. The transfer station
and MRF -front gates are also protected by a video surveillance
system. The location of the entrance gates, wall and fencing are
shown on Figure 2.
3.3.9 VISUAL SCREENING
In accordance with 14 CCR, Section 17419.1, the CVVVSMRF
Q/ f BS was designed and is operated to provide an attractive and
aesthetically acceptable appearance. The facility is located in
relatively low-density industrial and agricultural setting. As part of a
"Good Neighbor" policy to obstruct visibility into the operations, trees
have been planted and an 8 foot block wall, earthen berms and slatted
chain link fence have been constructed along the perimeter of the site.
In addition, landscaping has also been established at select locations
around the facility. This integrated system reduces any "unsightly"
equipment and operations and reduces odors and litter migration off
the site.
3.3.10 WATER SUPPLY
In accordance with 14 CCR, Section 17419.2, potable water is
available for station personnel at the CVWSMRF/TS.
