Weber Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95205 <br /> Gentlemen: <br /> The San Joaquin Local Health District has been designated by the State Solid <br /> Waste Management Board as the local enforcement agency for the solid waste program <br /> for San Joaquin County. <br /> All operators and owners of existing solid.waste disposal sites and transfer/ <br /> processing stations in San Joaquin County are hereby advised that a Notice of Oper- <br /> ation must be received by the San Joaquin Local Health District on or before August <br /> 15, 1977, if the owner or operator wishes the site or station to come under the <br /> 'ograndfather" provisions of the Z'berg-Kapiloff Solid Waste Control Act of 1976. <br /> (Government Code Sections 66795, et. seq.) <br /> If the "Notice of Operation" is not filed by August 15, 1977, an Environmental <br /> Impact Report will have to be prepared for the project, the facilities will have to <br /> meet all local land use requirements, and the facility itself must be compatible <br /> with the county solid waste management plan. <br /> Attached is the application form which is to be used as the "Notice of Oper- <br /> ation," together with instructions on what material must be filed with the appli- <br /> cation form. In the event you are unable to supply all of 'the supporting material <br /> by August 15,. 1977, it is important that you file at least the "Notice of Operation" <br /> with the San Joaquin Local Health District by this date. <br /> If you have any questions regarding this matter, please call Mr. Lee Hall, R.S., <br /> at 466-6781, ext. 34. <br /> Very truly yours, <br /> Jack J.
