When added to the existing DNL of noise sources unrelated to the
recycling facility above, the total DNL is expected to increase by approximately 3 dB to 74 dB
along Weber Avenue(location L4).No noise increase is expected along Filbert Street.
For industrial land-uses,the City of Stockton's Noise and Land-Use Compatibility Guidelines
stipulate that noise environments between a DNL of 71 and 80 dB are considered"Conditionally
Acceptable". Therefore, the expansion of the ESTRS site would not change the current land-use
compatibility category and does not increase the DNL by more than 3 dB.
City Development Code --Project-Generated Noise
The proposed modification/expansion of ESTRS will enlarge the site by approximately 385-feet
to the west across F Street according to the October 2011 site plan. In addition, the truck
entrance/exit will now be located approximately 210-feet west of the F Street centerline. Based
on the site plan it appears that the nearest residential receiver(along E Myrtle Street)will be
located approximately 200-feet south of the project entrance/exit, and the nearest commercial
receiver will be the convenience store located at the southwest corner of Weber Avenue and
N Filbert Street. Based on our measurements, on-site truck activity will generate the noise levels
to greet 5n rcc ., 4 .3
