KLE/MFEL 0E
Bright People.Bight Solutions.
Stockton is used presently for disposal of these materials; a different permitted
facility may be used in the future.
2.5.3 Dust and Odor Control
The project proposes to undertake actions to control odor emissions and dust
control. Misters are located around the project site that emit odor control sprays
and also water to keep dust at a minimum. No new misters are proposed on the
project site, the project will not expand outdoor processing facilities. Misters
operate continuously during outside processing operational hours.
2.5.4 Sweeping
ESRTS has provided daily street sweeping for several years. This program will
be expanded to twice-daily along the two blocks of Weber Avenue between E
Street and Filbert Street.
Paved areas within the project site will be swept regularly to control dust
generation.
2.5.4 Graffiti Removal
Graffiti will be removed as needed in accordance with City regulations. The areas
facing the streets will be treated more frequently. The wall between the facility
and the SPRR will be painted to the extent allowed by the available space
between the wall and the railroad.
2.5.5 Fire Control
ESRTS' existing Fire Prevention Plan will be revised in consultation with the
Stockton Fire Department to reflect the expanded operations and to address fire
considerations in storage areas, with material processing equipment, material
piles, adequate fire department access, water supply (including fire hydrants),
and general fire protection. The Fire Prevention Plan will include, among other
things, provision for:
Fire Department access
Pavement standards
Alarm systems
Manageable pile sizes and clear areas
Pile wetting
121339/ST011 R209 2-11 September 16,2011
Copyright 2011 Kleinfelder
