A. Flammable or combustible liquids shall be stored in approved closed <br />container, in tanks located in aboveground portable tanks <br />B. The dispensing hose shall be an approved type. <br />C. The dispensing nozzle shall be an approved automatic closing type with a <br />latch -open device. <br />D. The engines of all equipment being fueled shall be shut off during the <br />fueling operation. <br />E. Each service of fueling area shall be provided with at least two fire <br />extinguishers having a rating greater than 20:ABC located so that an <br />extinguisher will be within 75 feet of each pump. <br />F. Tank cars and trucks being loaded or unloaded and flammable storage <br />tanks and system shall be properly bonded and grounded. <br />X. LIQUIFIED PETROLEUM GAS (LP GAS) <br />FP -6 <br />A. Approval of Equipment and Systems <br />1. Each system shall have containers, valves, connectors, manifold <br />valve assemblies, and regulators of an approved type. <br />2. Connections to container, except safety relief connections, liquid <br />level gauging devices and plugged openings shall have shutoff <br />valves located as close to the container as practical. <br />B. Welding- welding on gas cylinders Is prohibited. <br />C. Safety Devices <br />1. Every container and every vaporizer shall be provided with one or <br />more approved safety relief valves or devices. These valves shall be <br />arranged to afford free vent to outer air. <br />2. Shutoff valves shall not be installed between the safety relief <br />devices and the LP gas container. <br />3/17/2011 <br />
