Attachment to Initial Study <br /> Independent Trucking Company,Inc. <br /> June 5, 1996 <br /> Page 4 <br /> represented less than 2% of the entire tonnage handled by this facility, in 1995. <br /> Independent Trucking has associate companies that provide waste hauling and landfill <br /> services. <br /> Storm Drains/Sanitary Sewer: Five drainage inlets are located on the Existing <br /> Processing Area. These drainage inlets have served to maintain adequate site drainage <br /> since operation of this facility began. <br /> Four additional drainage inlets are planned for the Proposed Expansion For Processing <br /> Area. Information of surface drainage and runoff control are provided for the proposed <br /> project expansion. <br /> 5. Access to Major Roads: <br /> Access to Independent Trucking is from Lincoln Street, an urban four lane street with <br /> double yellow line striping. There are no designated left hand turning lanes on any of <br /> the streets that surround the site. Direct routes to Lincoln Street are Charter Way to the <br /> south, which connects to Highway 99 and Interstate 5, and Weber Avenue to the north, <br /> which leads to downtown Stockton. The waste generation areas served by the facility <br /> are interspersed throughout San Joaquin County. <br /> Customer Parking: Customer parking is available on all four streets surrounding <br /> Independent Trucking. <br /> Loading Areas: Loading of product onto trucks occurs inside the Lincoln Street and <br /> Sonora Street gates, south of the gate on Harrison Street and east of the gate on Sonora <br /> Street, as shown in the site plan. <br /> Loading and unloading will also take place on the 0.59 acre Proposed Expansion For <br /> Processing area. <br /> Traffic Stacking: During current peak periods, a maximum of three large delivery <br /> vehicles and five small delivery vehicles, including pedestrians, will line up to be <br /> weighed and unloaded. Pedestrian waiting occurs on the sidewalk. Truck waiting occurs <br /> along the street edge next to Independent Trucking. Neither the large nor small <br /> deliveries during peak waiting periods have caused any injuries or accidents, and there <br /> have not been any complaints registered with Independent Trucking staff, relative to <br /> waiting or traffic. Visible traffic problems are not evident during current operating <br /> hours. <br />
