V. SUMMARY <br />The hazardous waste exclusion program described herein which <br />includes an assigned load checker, vehicle logging, removal of <br />hazardous waste by a licensed hazardous waste hauler and <br />installation of a chemical storage locker on site has already <br />been implemented. Site personnel are currently trained to <br />identify and segregate prohibited waste for removal. <br />Results of the program to date indicate very little hazardous <br />waste is being brought to the site. This is probably due to <br />signs posted at the site and public notices for site information <br />(see Exhibit 3) which indicate types of waste not accepted. <br />Also, the implementation of the Hazardous Waste Exclusion Program <br />has increased the awareness of users of the site to legal <br />re-I-Xictions on prohibited waste, and has also discouraged <br />attempts at illegal disposal by charging expensive disposal fees <br />to the offenders. <br />E MO-SW-HW6 <br />
