H. Added Prohibitions
The following should be listed as prohibited in the modified
permit:
1. Disposal of liquid waste/slurries
2. Disposal of septic tank pumpings/sewage sludge
I. Waste Quantities
The permit should be modified to approve a daily peak load of
700 tons. Waste quantities should fall under this figure until the
next five year review.
J. Hazardous Waste Storage
A waste storage locker has been installed to store any
hazardous waste encountered in the hazardous waste exclusion
program. Any hazardous waste will be emptied from the locker
within 90 days.
K. Waste Distribution
Some waste is temporarily being transferred to the Stanislaus
County incineration plant. This is an experiment that may be
stopped at any time.
L. Future Plans
The northwest corner of the site will be developed as a
recycling area. This area is approximately 150ft. by 150ft. , and
it will be fenced, paved, and sloped to drain into the station's
storm drainage pond. Recyclables will be sorted and placed in
roll-off boxes, and wood waste will be stockpiled. The county will
purchase several roll-off boxes and a truck to transport the boxes
of recyclable materials to market.
Used oil and batteries will be accepted at the station in the
future, and a plan of operation will be submitted to the LEA for
approval before accepting used oil and batteries. The materials
collected will be hauled away and recycled.
R:\RUDY\EN\LTS\PERMIT
