Karam <br /> Senior Solid Waste Engineer <br /> SUBJECT: LOVELACE TRANSFER STATION 39-AA-0008, <br /> REPORT OF STATION INFORMATION - <br /> ADDENDUM 1 <br /> Following are our responses to comments in your November 15, 1993, <br /> letter. Please place this letter, and the attachments which will <br /> be collectively titled "Addendum 1 - Lovelace Transfer Station <br /> Report of Station Information", in your copy of the Report of <br /> Station Information immediately in front of Appendix A. <br /> The responses below address items 1 - 12 of your letter, <br /> respectively. A copy of the letter is attached for reference. <br /> 1 . Freon based appliances are stockpiled at the Lovelace Transfer <br /> Station (Station) . Once 20 appliances are stockpiled, staff <br /> from County Government Buildings is notified and requested to <br /> extract the freon. Trained personnel from Government <br /> Buildings are then dispatched to the Station to extract the <br /> freon, using approved freon extraction equipment. The freon <br /> is then taken to Standard Appliance Parts Company in Stockton <br /> for recycling. After the freon is extracted, the appliances <br /> are placed in a recycling bin. LMC Metals then picks up the <br /> bin and recycles the appliances as salvaged metal . <br /> 2 . The projected number of incoming vehicles for the year 1999 is <br /> approximately between 132, 000 and 172, 000 . Please refer to <br /> the table below. <br />
