2.1 LOCATION <br />The Lovelace Transfer Station is located on a 5 acre parcel on the north side of Lovelace Road, <br />between Airport Way and Union Road, five miles south of the City of Stockton and north of the <br />City of Manteca, as shown on the Vicinity Map included in Plates 2 through 5. <br />The Lovelace Road area is zoned AG -40, General Agriculture, with a minimum parcel size of <br />40 acres. However, non -conforming smaller agriculture parcels may exist within AG -40 areas. <br />2.2 OBJECTIVE <br />The objective is to renovate and expand the existing Lovelace Road Transfer Station at its <br />present location to better serve the long term needs of the Central County Area. <br />The concept calls for the acquisition of 9.9 Acres of property adjacent to the existing Lovelace <br />Road Transfer Station and for the construction of new facilities designed to maximize recovery <br />of recyclable materials from the waste stream in accordance with the diversion goals established <br />by Assembly Bill 939. <br />The specific elements of the project are listed below and shown on Plate 2, Preliminary Site <br />Plan. <br />0 Transfer Building <br />- Public Disposal Area <br />- Commercial Disposal Area <br />- Tipping/Sorting Floor <br />- Transfer Tunnel <br />0 Recycling Area <br />0 Recycling Drop -Off <br />0 Hazardous Waste Storage <br />0 Scale House <br />0 Scales <br />0 Office/Maintenance Building <br />0 Employee/Visitor Parking <br />0 Transfer Trailer Parking <br />0 Fuel Station <br />0 Roadways <br />0 Drainage Pond <br />0 Utilities <br />0 Fencing <br />0 Landscaping <br />A-2 <br />
