-2- <br /> 3 . Employees shall not report to work early without obtaining <br /> approval from Senior Refuse Worker on duty. <br /> 4 . Employees shall be entitled to a 1/2 hour paid lunch break, <br /> providing employee remains on site and is available for work <br /> if needed. <br /> 5. Breaks shall be scheduled by the Senior Refuse Worker. When <br /> breaks are interrupted to load and tarp trucks, employee may <br /> resume his break after the trucks are loaded and tarped. <br /> 6. Vacation and compensatory time off must be approved in advance <br /> by the Senior Refuse Worker. Employee must submit time off <br /> request slip to Senior Refuse Worker for signature. <br /> 7. All accidents or incidents shall be reported immediately to <br /> the Senior Refuse Worker. •• <br /> 8 . All safety equipment and proper clothing shall be worn at all <br /> times as follows: <br /> a. HEAD PROTECTION <br /> Head protection of the type provided by the County shall <br /> be worn by all employees on any County outdoor work-site, <br /> as well as on Transfer Station Property. <br /> b. EYE PROTECTION <br /> Eye protection (salety glasses) of the type provided by <br /> the County will be worn on any County outdoor work-site, <br /> as well as on Transfer Station property. The use of <br /> safety glasses is not intended to replace the use of <br /> goggles or face shields in appropriate operations or <br /> areas. <br /> C. HEARING PROTECTION <br /> Hearing protection of the type provided by the County <br /> will be worn, as required by the County. <br /> d. SAFETY VEST <br /> Safety vest of the type provided by the County will be <br /> worn at any County outdoor work-site and on Transfer <br /> Station property. Instead of safety vest provided by <br /> County, employee may provide and wear personal clothing <br /> of the same color as safety vests, providing the color <br /> is first approved by the Solid Waste General Foreman. <br /> e. HAND PROTECTION <br /> Appropriate hand protection of the type provided by the <br /> County shall be worn anytime an employee is exposed to <br /> cuts, burns, corrosive, irritating substances. <br />
