Ui f I t�ieIA..) <br /> January 12, 1988 <br /> M E M O R A N D U M <br /> TO: Department Heads <br /> FROM: Ev Sti 1-f p' 1.4anager of Personnel <br /> and Employee Relations <br /> SUBJECT: Minimum Work Rules <br /> During this year' s negotiations the Association agreed to the <br /> County ' s dissemination of the attached work rules as minimums <br /> ;which should exist for all County employees . In no way should <br /> these rules be construed to sumersede anything which you may have <br /> in effect in your department which is more thorough or more <br /> indepth. <br /> These rules are minimums and all employees should adhere to these <br /> guidelines. Should you care to expand upon these rules , Civil <br /> Service Rule 14 allows each department to establish specific <br /> regulations governing the conduct, appearance and performance of <br /> employees. This should be done in consort with the Personnel <br /> Department. We would be happy to assist any department in <br /> developing specific terms and conditions to be applied by your <br /> supervisors. <br /> Failure to meet any standards which are established or the mini- <br /> mum work rules which are attached hereto, may constitute cause <br /> for disciplinary action or dismissal in accordance with Civil <br /> Service Rule 18 and progressive discipline procedures. <br /> EBS : jf <br /> 7M1. 1 <br /> Attachment <br />
