In accordance with 14 CCR, Section 17410.2, an emergency contact list is provided to the LEA <br />and local fire authority in the event of an emergency situation. <br />The emergency eentaet- list is- <br />ineluded i-n (Appendix Q. "Training" moved from Section <br />3.1.1.2 (found on page 6 of new <br />3.1.1.2 1.8.1.2 TRAINING document) <br />Station personnel attend regularly scheduled training meetings. In accordance with 14 CCR, <br />Section 17410.3, these training meetings emphasize proper station operation and maintenance, <br />hazardous waste recognition and screening, environmental and nuisance controls, use of <br />equipment, safety procedures, and emergency situation procedures. In addition, all employees <br />receive regular safety tips and training, as well as opportunities for formal education or equipment <br />qualification instruction when necessary. Training sessions occur monthly with bi-weekly <br />"tailgate" meetings. Facility managers, supervisors and equipment <br />operators are equipped with pagers and portable radios. to eo mnieate with eaeh other-. <br />Managers have telephones in their offices <br />for internal and external communications. Scale and gate house operators also have access to <br />portable radios and telephones which will permit communication to the Lovelaee Supervisor and <br />the main office. <br />1.8.3 Safety Program <br />MRF staff are eauitmed with and are reauired to use Droner safetv eauiDment. Minimal reauired <br />safety gear provided includes boots with puncture resistant soles, leather uppers and leather soles, <br />safetygloves, safety glasses and hard hats. In addition, ear plugs and dust masks are <br />available and required when performing any task that could produce flag particles or excessive <br />noise levels. Gloves are provided and required when handling materials with sharp or jagged <br />edges which may result in lacerations. In addition, heavy equipment operators use radios to <br />communicate constantly with ground crew and to minimize any possible accidents. County <br />vehicles housed onsite are eauiDDed with flashing lialits and audible beeDina signals when <br />backing. <br />First aid kits are Drovided and are located in the MRF. maintenance and administrative offices and <br />eve-wash/shower units and drinking water units are located throughout the working areas. Both <br />men's and women's lavatories with handicapped accommodations and showers are available in <br />the office area of the Office and Maintenance Buildinsz.
