0 <br /> APPLICATION FOR DISPOSAL SITE EXEMPTION AND ANIMAL FEEDING OF FOOD <br /> PROCESSING <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> Tracy Material Recovery and Solid Waste Transfer Inc. , is <br /> submitting this application to accept up to 18 cubic yards per <br /> week of tomato waste at its facility at 30703 MacArthur Drive, <br /> Tracy, CA and feed it to up to 14 head of cattle. <br /> Additionally, we propose to accept up to 40 cubic yards per day of <br /> tomato mud, spread it on approximately 11 acres and allow it to dry <br /> by evaporation. <br /> Both of these operations will be conducted during the cannery <br /> season which runs from July through November. <br /> The Site Plan, Figure 1 shows the area that will be used. <br /> SURROUNDING AREA <br /> The area surrounding the site is shown on Figure 2, Site Location <br /> Plan. <br /> Wells <br /> The only well within 1000 feet of the site is a water supply well <br /> at the Tracy Material Recovery and Transfer Station approximately <br /> 500 feet to the north. <br /> There are two agricultural wells on MacArthur Drive approximately <br /> one mile north of the site and approximately 2200 feet north east <br /> of the site. <br /> Residences <br /> There are no residences within 1000 feet of the site. The closest <br /> residences to the site are two mobile homes located approximately <br /> 2500 feet north of the site on the east side of MacArthur Drive. <br /> Land Use <br /> The two predominant land uses in the project area are agriculture <br /> and gravel mining. To the north, east and south of the site are <br /> fields of row crops and orchards. To the west are the continuing <br /> operations of the LoneStar Industries gravel mining operations. <br /> Water <br /> An existing irrigation canal (Banta Carbona Irrigation District) <br /> parallels the site's western border. coral Hollow creek is located <br /> approximately 2500 feet to the north. <br />
