a <br />Mr. Ed Padilla <br />February 2, 1994 <br />Page Two <br />Our comments concerning the RCI per your letter are as follows: <br />• <br />I.— The lined evaporation pond for the compost leachate in proposed to be three feet of compacted <br />clay meeting permeability of 1 x 10.6 cm/sec. This is stated throughout the RCI. Sheet C-3 of <br />Appendix C was revised from four feet to the proposed three feet. <br />2. -- The proposed water delivery system is shown on Figure 4 in Appendix and on Sheet 4 of the <br />Drawings in Section 3. <br />3.' Standby eqipment for the composting operation was added in the text of the RCI. <br />4. - See comment number 6 above. _ <br />5.,, The temperature for sterilizing sample bottles was corrected. <br />6. .. The Regional Water Quality Control Board is currently reviewing the project for determination <br />of waste discharge.
