Construction &Demolition/Inert Debris Facility Report
Tracy Material Recovery Facility and Transfer Station
30703 S. Mixed
C&D debris varies in consistency. Tracy MRF & TS plans to recycle the inerts,
wood, metal, cardboard, plastics, carpet padding, carpet, dry-wall, and C&D fines
with the rest considered as residual, for a minimum 60% recycling rate. On a
typical peak day, the facility would be able to process 100 TPD of wood, 100
TPD of metal, 65 TPD of inerts, 30 TPD of cardboard, 20 TPD of plastics, 5 TPD
of carpet and padding, 10 TPD of dry-wall, 70 TPD of MRF fines and 100 TPD of
residual (as the estimated composition of materials, or a combination thereof). As
Table 5 demonstrates below, the design processing capacity is capable of
handling in excess of the planned 400 TPD capacity over the 12 hour work day.
When mixed loads have a variable C&D debris consistency, the CD Processing
Facility has adequate design capacity to process the debris.
Table 5 — CD Processing Design Capacity
C&D Processing Production Production Max.
method Rate Hours/Day Design Capacity
C&D Debris Pre- 15 Tons/Hour 16 240 TPD
Sort Load Out hours/da
Mixed C&D 30 Tons/Hour 16 480 TPD
Processing Line hours/da -
Total 45 Tons/Hour 16 720 TPD design
hours/day 400 TPD proposed
Table 6 — Material Processing Design Capacity
Machinery Machinery Average Ave. Max.
Production Gate Production Design
Rate Tonnage Re uired/Day Capacity
Inert Crushing 250 80 .32 3,000
Tons/Hour Tons/Da Hours/Da Tons/Da
Residual Load-out 60 100 1.67 720
Tons/Hour Tons/Day Hours/Day Tons/Day
7 170.18 CDI FacReport 02121313
