Stockpiles of inert materials do not exceed 25 feet in height. Dust from <br /> materials handling is controlled with water spray from handheld hoses. <br /> On an average day, the operation would generate 30 loaded inbound trucks per <br /> day and 6 loaded outbound trucks. The operation will generate a peak amount of <br /> 40 loaded inbound trucks per day and 80 loaded outbound truck trips per day up <br /> to 5 days per month. <br /> Reject materials (e.g. residual contaminants and unmarketable materials <br /> consisting of less than 1% of the clean inert debris) removed from the processing <br /> area are loaded into debris boxes for transport to an offsite disposal facility or the <br /> metal is recycled at a processing facility. <br /> Phase 1 and 2: C&D Operations Expansion <br /> Inert (Type A) recycling activities will continue as described above. Mixed C&D <br /> materials, up to 200 tons per day will be accepted and processed, as described <br /> below, increasing to a peak of 400 TPD in Phase 2. Total peak tonnage of mixed <br /> C&D materials at the Tracy MRF & TS will average 400 TPD. <br /> Materials are delivered to the facility in debris box trucks and commercial <br /> vehicles. Vehicles are weighed at the facility entrance both upon entering and <br /> exiting the facility. Trucks and debris boxes containing CD debris are dumped in <br /> the C&D Processing Area, which is clearly signed and demarked. The main <br /> components of CD recycling are inerts, metals, and wood. The residual waste <br /> debris shall not exceed 40% by weight, thus recycling a minimum of 60%. <br /> During Phase 1, the C&D material will be placed in the tipping area of the C&D <br /> Processing Area; up to 200 TPD will be manually sorted with assistance of front- <br /> end loaders, or other equipment, to handle the sorted piles and to load-out the <br /> recovered material into transfer vehicles. Eventually; during Phase 2, a <br /> mechanical C&D processing line will be installed to process the mixed C&D more <br /> efficiently and with greater capacity up to 400 TPD, as shown on Figure 3. <br /> C&D debris requiring little or no processing may be separated by a small front- <br /> end loader and placed in individual debris boxes or stockpiled by commodity (i.e., <br /> metals, wood waste, bulky residuals). Large or bulky materials may be handled <br /> with a grappler and stockpiled or deposited in the appropriate debris boxes. The <br /> inerts are collected and regularly taken to the inert operations area. Up to 15 tons <br /> per hour could be pre-sorted prior to placing the remaining mixed C&D on the <br /> Processing Line capable of 30 tons per hour. <br /> The remaining C&D debris will be sorted on a customized, mechanical pick line, <br /> designed by Krause Manufacturing (Figure 4). Materials will be loaded onto a <br /> feed conveyor with a front-end loader. As the C&D debris proceeds along the <br /> ® conveyor, large or bulky materials (wood, metal, plastics) are manually pre- <br /> sorted and placed in appropriate debris boxes located below the sorting platform. <br /> 4 170.18 CDI FacReport 05081313 <br />
