Each type of house is designed to function
differently and will be described below. At the present time the facility operates year
round. Houses 1-5 are open house approximately 50 years old. At this time House 1
will be called Lisa 5 while Houses 2-5 are not in production. Lisa 5 contains 6 small
houses within Lisa 5. Each house has a capacity to hold 7,000 birds for a total of 42,000
birds. Manure belts will be cleaned out every 4 days and taken to the composting house.
Lisa 5 is 236 ft. x 230 ft.They are only going to use Lisa 5,36 ft. x 230 ft. of the space.
Houses 1-4 are environmental houses. House 1-2 were built in 2000 and houses 3-4 were
built in 2006.The process of manure cleaning is a manure belt. The houses are being
cleaned in 3 cycles first 1/3 of the houses are being cleaned out everyday. The manure
belts run into the belt conveyor in the back of the chicken houses and then brought into
the tractor container and brought immediately into the composting house. All the debris
is being completely scraped to minimize the flies. We produce approximately 93.6 c.yd.
3
