a day.Any feed that is being delivery to us is being carried in a 24 tons feed truck from <br /> the milling companies.Then the feed is stored into feed tanks that are located in front of <br /> the chicken houses.Type of feed being',used is made of mostly corn and other <br /> ingredients. <br /> Compost Facility: This is a 60,000 square foot enclosed building with a concrete <br /> foundation and floor. This building houses two compost machine and 4 rows/pits of <br /> compost. Approximately 36 cubic yards of manure and wood shavings or carbon are <br /> dumped into the east side of this facility daily. It will take approximately 28 to 30 days <br /> to complete a load of compost. Approximately 25 cubic yards of compost will be <br /> completed per pit per day. The composting house will have the capability to process 21 <br /> cubic yards of chicken manure per pit per day and there are currently 4 pits. Everyday <br /> the machine moves the compost 7 feet. Completed compost will be held on a concrete <br /> slab until the laboratory analysis is run and it is sold. Currently S.K.S. is selling the <br /> completed compost to "All Safe Industrial P. O. Box 876,Victor, CA 95253" as it is <br /> finished and in the future plan to bag the compost to sale. <br /> Waste Storage Ponds: There are several storage ponds on-site. There are small storage <br /> ponds between each of the house for collection of rain runoff. There is a storage pond <br /> west of the processing plant for wash water and rain runoff from the processing plant. <br /> Since the Houses that utilized this pond are no longer in use, it is not needed. <br /> Residences/Wells: There are 7 residences and/or employee houses on-site. There are 4 <br /> wells within the poultry operation and pipelines transport water around to the <br /> processing plant, poultry houses, and to the various residences. <br /> Dirt Roads: The dirt roads have a speed limit of 10 miles per hour to reduce dust during <br /> the summer months. <br /> Permanent Fencing: There is permanent perimeter fence of barb wire and hog fencing <br /> around the entire property. There are also various cross fences to provide pastures for <br /> the feeder steers. <br /> Stock Ponds: There are 2 stock ponds or fresh water ponds on-site. These are utilized <br /> by the cattle for drinking water. <br /> Seasonal Creek and Wetlands: There has not been a formal wetland delineation <br /> conducted at the site; however there are intermittent creeks and seasonal wetlands at the <br /> 4 <br />
