AMENDED MANURE MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR HIGH-RISE BUILDINGS
SEPTEMBER 6, 1996
(1) In dry months, twice a week manure will be removed from the poultry houses,
conventional methods of "Thin-Spread" manure drying will be used. Manure
will be piled up, then the dried manure will be removed to Mr. Martin or to
other farmers for crop or tree producers as a fertilizer and always removed
before seven (7) days.
(2) In wet months, ponds A, B, and C may be used for manure disposal, areation
will apply to insure no fly breeding or odor. A ramp will be built to make sure
manure drops into pond water and is submerged.
(3) High-rise building #1, #2, and #3 will have cement floors for easier cleaning
before the new layers are placed in the units.
(4) Ponds A, B, and C must maintain an adequate free board area during
operation. The high rise units were not designed for ponds, thus if a
nuisance occurs in ponds, the manure must be diverted to alternative
disposal methods.
SEP - 7 1995
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PERMIT/SERVICES I '
S301/123S/11W13d'
H11b3H 1111N3WN0a/AN3 vo/S/"l/
3331/1&
33&17 b3N b
5661 _ ^ tiqs 1N3wN
° ,3H D/aO d/,A
Qn V S661 Z - dSNb`c
JI
-4 trd
