MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM <br /> CITY OF MANTECA <br /> SLUDGE APPLICATION TO LAND <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY -3- <br /> 2. Soil/sludge mixtures shall be similarly obtained from the upper 6 inches <br /> of the field during January or February. One sample shall be analyzed <br /> from each field. <br /> WASTEWATER MONITORING <br /> The wastewater effluent applied to the fields shall be sampled as follows: <br /> Sampling <br /> Constituents Units Station Frequency <br /> pH' _ pH units Effluent QuarterlyZ <br /> Temperature' OF (°C) Effluent QuarterlyZ <br /> Total Metals' mg/l Effluent Quarterly <br /> Electrical Conductivity' /mmhos/cm Effluent QuarterlyZ <br /> Nitrates (as N) mg/l Effluent QuarterlyZ <br /> Total Nitrogen mg/l Effluent QuarterlyZ <br /> ' Field measurements. <br /> Z During periods of discharge of wastewater effluent to fields. <br /> 3 Cadmium, copper, lead, nickel , and zinc. <br /> STORM WATER RUNOFF/IRRIGATION RETURN WATER MONITORING <br /> All sampling performed under this section shall consist of grab samples. <br /> Samples shall be collected from the irrigation water return recycling system <br /> (R-1), if used, and a storm water runoff sampling location (R-2) . These <br /> sampling locations will be established by Regional Board staff. R-1 and R-2 <br /> shall be sampled as follows: <br /> Sampling <br /> Constituents Units Station Frequency <br /> Dissolved Oxygen' mg/1 R-1 or R-23 Quarterly <br /> pH' pH Units R-1 or R-23 Quarterly <br /> Total Coliform MPN/100 ml R-1 or R-23 Quarterly <br /> Fecal Coliform MPN/100 ml R-1 or R-23 Quarterly <br /> Fecal Streptococci MPN/100 ml R-1 or R-23 Quarterly <br /> Temperature' OF (°C) R-1 or R-23 Quarterly <br /> Total Metal S2 mg/1 R-1 or R-23 Quarterly <br /> Electrical Conductivity' ,umhos/cm R-1 or R-23 Quarterly <br /> ' Field Measurements. <br /> Z Cadmium, copper, lead, nickel , and zinc. <br /> 3 Sample collected from R-1 in summer when irrigation return system is <br /> being used, and R-2 during winter months. <br />
