3.4.6 Coarse Gravel <br /> • Review the Contractor's approved work plan of proposed methods to place coarse gravel <br /> material over geosynthetic installations. Determine and note corrective action items if <br /> applicable. <br /> • Perform soil tests to verify that coarse gravel is in compliance with material gradation <br /> and permeability requirements of the Specifications. Perform tests at testing frequencies <br /> specified in Section 3.2.2. <br /> • Monitor placement operations to verify that underlying geosynthetics installations are not <br /> damaged during placement operations. Mark damaged geosynthetics and verify that <br /> damage is repaired. <br /> • Verify that geotextile is placed under and around coarse gravel as shown on the <br /> Construction Drawings. <br /> Page 19 <br />
