Getting to Know the Hazardous <br /> Waste/ESIM ContingencyPlan <br /> What it the Hazardous Waste/ESIM Contingency Plan? <br /> • It informs leaders of what to do, who to notify, and <br /> next steps when there is a fire, leak, etc. involving <br /> ESIM. <br /> • Federal regulations require Target to prepare and <br /> implement a Contingency Plan designed to minimize <br /> hazards to human health or the environment from <br /> fires, explosions, or any unplanned release of <br /> hazardous waste or hazardous waste constituents to <br /> air, soil or surface water. <br /> • Target Corporation uses the term Environmentally <br /> Sensitive Items to describe items that may be <br /> harmful to the environment (including Hazardous <br /> Waste). Therefore, this plan is referred to as the <br /> "Hazardous Waste/ESIM Contingency Plan." <br /> California Stores: <br /> • This is not the same plan as the Hazardous Materials Business Plan <br /> (HMBP). <br /> • The HMBP also needs to be updated if the STL changes.
