Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc . <br /> 22 January 2010 Cow �C) <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 01-0839 11 u <br /> JAN 2 7 20i0 <br /> Ms. Lori Duncan EMIIRONNIENY N�AITN <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department FEFtNAl01SERVl,ES <br /> 600 East Main Street <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Subject: Interim Soil Remediation <br /> ERNIE'S GENERAL STORE <br /> 4407 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Ms. Duncan: <br /> At the request ofMr.Ernest P.Giannecchini ofErnie's General Store,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, <br /> Inc.(AGE)has prepared this response to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (SJCEHD) letter dated 13 January 2010 for the property located at 4407 East Waterloo Road, <br /> Stockton, California(site). <br /> On 13 February 2009,Mr. Giannecchini requested a Fund Manager's Decision(FMD)to reclassify <br /> his Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund (USTCF) claim priority class from C to B. On 05 <br /> January 2010,the State Water Resources Control Board(SWRCB)decided in Mr. Giannecchini's <br /> favor and reclassified the claim to Priority Class B; the higher-priority class facilitates quicker <br /> processing of reimbursement requests.On 11 January 2010,the USTCF issued a payment letter for <br /> Reimbursement Request Number 8 (RR#8); payment is expected within the next few weeks. <br /> On behalf of Mr. Giannecchini, we are requesting a delay of referral for enforcement action and <br /> provide an additional extension for installation and start-up of the interim SVE system until 01 April <br /> 2010. Presently, we are completing the following tasks in preparation for remediation system <br /> installation and startup: <br /> • Final modifications to on-site electrical system; <br /> • Liquified Petroleum Gas permitting; and <br /> • Final system modification and delivery. <br /> Additionally, a ground water monitoring event (annual event) was performed at the site on 30 <br /> October 2009. Wells MW-1 through MW-4 were sampled; MW-5 was dry. A report of the 30 <br /> October 2009 field work will be forthcoming.The next monitoring event,a"semi-annual"sampling, <br /> 837 Shaw Road.
