(AGE) and has the following comments.
You are out of compliance for failing to implement approved soil vapor extraction (SVE)
remediation of the petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated soil at your site by August 20, 2007.
This deadline was been extended two times, but you remain out of compliance with
regulatory directives by failing to initiate the needed cleanup of your contaminated site. In
their correspondence, AGE requests another deadline extension, until April 1, 2010, to
implement the remediation.
If an SVE remediation system is not in operation at your site by April 1, 2010, you may be
referred to the Regional Water Quality Control Board Central Valley Region for enforcement
action. No additional deadline extension will be granted.
In addition, AGE states an annual groundwater monitoring and sampling event was
conducted at your site on October 30, 2009. A report of laboratory data (EDF) was submitted
to Geotracker on your behalf by AGE, but it documented groundwater samples collected on
September 30, 2009. This EDF was incomplete, and after conversation with AGE it was
denied in Geotracker, but an accurate and complete one was never resubmitted. All reports
of fieldwork performed must be submitted to the EHD within 60 days following completion of
the work, and must also be submitted to Geotracker. Please proceed with submittal of the
overdue groundwater monitoring and sampling report documenting the work AGE completed.
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Sincerely,
Lori Duncan, REHS Nuel C. Henderson, Jr., PG
Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist Engineering Geologist
c: Jim Barton, CVRWQCB, 11020 Sun Center Drive, Suite 200, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
Art Deicke, AGE, 837 Shaw Road, Stockton, CA 95215
