INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. Ernest Gianneechini of Ernie's General Store,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,
Inc.(AGE)has prepared this Soil Vaporintrusion Work Plan-June 2010 for the site located at 4407
East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California (site). The work plan was prepared as required by the
California Regional Water Quality Control Board- Central Valley Region (Regional Board). In a
meeting held 13 May 2010 at the Regional Board,Mr. Munch directed this work plan to submitted
by 10 June 2010.
The workplan has been prepared in accordance with Regional Board guidelines for the investigation
of underground storage tanks (UST) sites; the Department of Toxic Substance Control
(DTSC)/California Regional Water Quality Control Board- Los Angeles Region joint publication
Advisory - Active Soil Gas Investigation dated 28 January 2003 and California Regional Water
Quality Control Board - Los Angeles Region-prepared Interim Guidance for Active Soil Gas
Investigations issued in 1997.Finally,where applicable guidance for this workplan has been derived
from the draft Advisory-Active Soil Gas Investigation prepared by DTSC in March 2010.
AGE proposes to advance four temporary soil vapor sampling borings for the collection of shallow
soil vapor samples.Data collected from the proposed borings will be used to assess the risk of soil
vapor intrusion to the on-site building and off-site adjacent buildings. The location of the site is
illustrated on Figure 1. A current map of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. Site background
information, which includes historical soil analytical data has been provided in Appendix A.
2.0.
