1 <br />' 27 September 2004 <br /> • AGE-NC Project No 99-0559 <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br />' 2 2 MONTHLY MONITORING PROCEDURES <br /> In order to quantify the mass of contamination from each extraction well and to comply with the <br />' requirements of the City of Stockton discharge permit,monthly monitoring and sampling of influent <br /> and effluent ground water samples was performed on 29 January 2004 (influent/effluent), <br /> 26 February 2004 (influent/effluent), 23 March 2004 (influent/effluent), 14 Apnl 2004 (all <br />' influent wells/effluent), 19 May 2004 (all influent wells/effluent) and 24 June 2004 (all influent <br /> wells/effluent) <br />' Influent samples were collected in laboratory-supplied 40-m1 EPA-approved volatile organic analysis <br /> (VOA)vials containing 0 5 m1 18%hydrochloric acid as a preservative,care was taken to ensure that <br /> visible air bubbles were not present in the vials after filling and capping The effluent sample was <br />' collected in VOA vials and a 1-liter amber bottle without preservative All samples were labeled <br /> with the sample designation, date, time, and sampler's initials The samples were subsequently <br /> logged on a chain-of-custody farm, placed in a chilled container and transported to Cal Tech <br />' Environmental Laboratories, Inc (CTEL) for analysis <br />' The influent samples were analyzed for <br /> • TotaI petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) by EPA Method 8015 <br /> Modified, and <br /> • Volatile aromatic compounds(VOCs),including benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene and xylene <br /> (BTEX) with methyl-tertiary butyl ether(MTBE) by EPA Methods 8260, <br /> The effluent samples were analyzed for <br /> I0 TPH-g by EPA Method 8015 Modified/TPH-d (diesel) by EPA method 8015 Modified, <br /> • BTEX with MTBE by EPA Methods 8260, <br /> • pH in accordance with EPA Method 150 1 , and <br /> • Volatile and Semi-volatile compounds (VOC and SVOC) by EPA Methods 624/625 in <br /> February and May 2004 and Metals Cd, Cr, Cu, Pb, Ni and Zn in accordance with EPA <br /> Method 200 Modified in May 2004 <br /> I <br /> • <br /> Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
