• IS June 2004 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 99-0559 <br /> Page 8 of 8 <br /> • The vertical extent of impacted ground water, has been defined at edges of the site The <br /> vertical extent of impacted ground water, at the former UST area, has not been defined and <br /> extends beyond the vertical depth of well MW-7E <br /> • The lateral extent of shallow impacted ground water towards the west and southwest, down- <br /> gradient of the UST area,has not been defined The vertical extent of impacted ground water <br /> at the western and southern edge of the site are defined,by well MW-5 and to a lesser degree <br /> by MW-6 <br /> 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Based on the findings and conclusions in this report, AGE recommends the following <br /> • Continue quarterly ground water monitoring, the next quarterly monitoring event is <br /> scheduled for late June 2004 <br /> • Installation of additional monitoring CPT soil and ground monitoring points west and <br /> southwest of the site to define the lateral extent ofpetroleum hydrocarbons-impacted ground <br /> water as proposed <br /> • Installation of additional shallow to intermediate depth ground water extraction wells on the <br /> southern and western margin of the site, to work with ground water extraction system to <br /> minimize the lateral migration of petroleum hydrocarbons-impacted ground water <br /> 6.0. LIMITATIONS <br /> Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by <br /> environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based mainly <br /> upon analytical results provided by an Independent laboratory Evaluations of the hydrogeologic <br /> conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number of <br /> available data points (e g ground water samples), and subsurface conditions may vary away from <br /> these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional <br /> interpretations, opinions and recommendations contained in this report <br /> Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
