U-Haul #709050 page 2
2701 N. Wilson Way, Stockton, CA. April 22, 2011
In evaluating the groundwater contaminant plume, the EHD has determined that impacted
groundwater east of the most contaminated well, MW-3B, may not be completely
characterized. The TPHg groundwater data from MW-313 indicates that 37,000
micrograms per liter (ug/1) were present in the samples collected in November 2010. The
EHD is concerned that the groundwater plume may not be moving toward MW-1 but may
be moving more toward the east from MW-3B, where no groundwater data or monitoring
well is currently available. For this reason, the EHD considers the groundwater plume to
not be fully characterized or defined. Additional groundwater investigation or monitoring
of the groundwater plume east of MW-3B is required. Please provide a proposal to collect
groundwater samples from the A and B zones east of MW-3. The proposal is due on
Geotracker for the EHD review by May 31, 2011.
Thank you for your continued cooperation in remediating your site.
