The wells were placed around the periphery of the
locations of the former UST's and product lines. The
monitoring wells were installed on July 29 and 30, 1991, by
West Hazmat Drilling, under the supervision of an ETS Project
Geologist.
2.3 RESULTS OF SOIL AND WATER ANALYSES
The soil and water samples obtained at MW-1, MW-2 and
MW--3 were submitted to a California certified analytical
laboratory for the following analyses: Total Petroleum
Hydrocarbons (Gasoline) , Benzene, Toluene, Xylenes,
and Ethylbenzene (BTX&E) .
During the installation of all three monitoring wells,
soil samples were obtained at five-foot intervals within the
unsaturated zone. Laboratory analyses revealed that varying
degrees of contamination were present in the soil at each
well, see Table 2 in section 4.2 bra_&ompletetabular
wJ
ETS ENVIRONMENTAL & ASSOC.
PROJECT 305, PAGE 3
