BiaBs Environmental Management Inc U Haul#709 50 <br /> 002-70950 03 <br /> Groundwalei Monitoring Report <br /> 1125102 <br /> i <br /> 1 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report presents a summary of activities and results of the groundwater monitoring program <br /> conducted during the fourth quarter of 2001 (December 10-12, 2001) at U-Haul Facility #709-50 located <br /> at 2701 North Wilson Way in Stockton, California The report presents a brief summary of the <br /> procedures and results of the most recent groundwater monitoring event Previous groundwater <br /> monitoring results are listed in tables 2 and 3 <br /> 1 1 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> U-Haul Facility 709-50 is located at 2701 North Wilson Way on the northwest corner of the intersection <br /> of North Wilson Way and Sangumetti Lane in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site is situated in a <br /> commercial area and is currently used as an equipment storage and rental facility The site is generally <br /> flat with a slight grade to the southeast The site elevation is approximately 21 feet above mean sea <br /> level A general site plan is included as Figure 2 <br /> r� <br /> 12 PROJECT AUTHORIZATION <br /> In January 1999, Blaes Environmental was contracted by Amerco Real Estate Company/U-Haul <br /> International (Amerco/U-Haul) to conduct a soil and groundwater remediation program at the site The <br /> remediation program included developing a remedial action plan (RAP), conducting remedial testing, <br /> and performing quarterly groundwater monitoring and reporting Prior to initiating remedial activities at <br /> the site, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJC) requested several additional <br /> groundwater monitoring events to confirm the concentration of petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater <br /> at the site and to further evaluate the extent of the hydrocarbon plume in groundwater <br /> 1 3 PROJECT STATUS <br /> In November 2001, Blaes Environmental submitted a work plan to the SJC detailing proposed work for <br /> the site The work plan proposes the installation of three new nested wells to further delineate the extent <br /> of hydrocarbons in groundwater to the east, west and south of the site In addition, two remedial test <br /> wells (one air sparge wells and one nested vapor extraction well) were proposed near the former western <br /> 1 <br />
