BIBGS Environmental Management Inc U-Haul#709-50 <br /> 002-70950 03 Groundwater Monrtonng Report <br /> 10/22/01 <br /> • 1 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report presents a summary of activities and results of the groundwater monitoring program <br /> conducted during the third quarter of 2001 (September 24— 26, 2001) at U-Haul Facility #709-50 located <br /> at 2701 North Wilson Way in Stockton, California The report presents a brief summary of previous <br /> groundwater monitoring results together with the procedures and results of the most recent groundwater <br /> monitoring event <br /> 1 1 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> U-Haul Facility 709-50 is located at 2701 North Wilson Way on the northwest corner of the intersection <br /> of North Wilson Way and Sanguinetti Lane in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site is situated in a <br /> commercial area and is currently used as an equipment storage and rental facility The site is generally <br /> flat with a slight grade to the southeast The site elevation is approximately 21 feet above mean sea level <br /> A general site plan is included as Figure 2 <br /> 1 2 PROJECT AUTHORIZATION <br /> In January 1999, Blaes Environmental was contracted by Amerco Real Estate Company/U-Haul <br /> International (AmercolU-Haul) to conduct a soil and groundwater remediation program at the site The <br /> remediation program included developing a remedial action plan (RAP), conducting remedial testing, and <br /> performing quarterly groundwater monitoring and reporting Prior to initiating remedial activities at the <br /> site, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJC) requested several additional <br /> groundwater monitoring events to confirm the concentration of petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater <br /> at the site and to further evaluate the extent of the hydrocarbon plume in groundwater <br /> 1 3 PROJECT STATUS <br /> The SJC recently sent Amerco/U-Haul a letter, dated September 19, 2001, that summarized the current <br /> status of the investigation and remediation of hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater at the site The mayor <br /> points mentioned in the letter are presented below <br /> 1 <br /> I <br />
