BIaBs Environmental Management Inc U-Haul#709-50 <br /> 002-70950-03 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> 10/22/01 <br /> 1) The vertical and lateral extent of petroleum contamination is not defined and further <br /> investigation is required <br /> 2) A work plan for future investigation of the vertical and lateral delineation of hydrocarbon <br /> impact and proposed remedial testing is due to the SJC within 60 days of the letter date <br /> 3) Upon completion of remedial testing and further investigation activities, a corrective <br /> action plan is required for submittal <br /> 4) A schedule of planned activities and proposed task completion dates <br /> Following completion of this groundwater monitoring event and pursuant to a directive from the SJC, <br /> Amerco/U-Haul will begin remedial feasibility testing at the site <br /> 14 PROGRAM OBJECTIVES <br /> The objective of the quarterly groundwater monitoring program was to provide additional data <br /> (monitoring and analytical data) to further evaluate groundwater conditions beneath the site <br /> 15 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The current quarterly monitoring event was conducted in September 2001 The monitoring event <br /> involved the following tasks 1) collecting field measurements of groundwater conditions from all of the <br /> well casings in each of the well locations, 2) purging monitoring wells prior to collecting groundwater <br /> samples, 3) storing and profiling purged groundwater for disposal/treatment, 4) analyzing groundwater <br /> samples, and 5)preparation of this report <br /> 1 b PROJECT TEAM <br /> The project team consisted of Blaes Environmental of Phoenix, Arizona and Del Mar Analytical, Inc <br /> (Del Mar), a California State certified analytical laboratory located in Irvine, California Blaes <br /> Environmental coordinated and managed the project, performed field measurements, collected, sealed and <br /> arranged for proper transport of the groundwater samples to the analytical laboratory, and prepared this <br /> report Del Mar provided sample containers and laboratory analysis of groundwater samples collected at <br /> the site <br /> 2 <br />
