Blass Environmental Management Inc U-Haul#709-50
002-70950-03 Groundwater Monitoring Report
10/22/01
• 242 Previous Groundwater Sample Analytical Results
Laboratory analytical results from the July 2001 groundwater sampling event indicated results similar to
those of the March 2001 sampling event A summary of analytical results for the July 2001 sampling
event is presented in Table 2
Review of the analytical results of the middle `B" casing groundwater sample group, indicated that the
extent of hydrocarbons in groundwater had little variation from the results of the previous sampling event
in March 2001 As results of the March 2001 sampling event indicated, the extent of hydrocarbons at the
groundwater interface was centered at the former UST area and former dispenser island at the center
portion of the site The eastern and western extent of the hydrocarbon plume extended beyond the
property boundaries (Blaes Environmental, 2001)
Analysis of groundwater samples from the lower C casing wells indicated that detectable hydrocarbons
were less widespread than in March 2001, but still concentrated at wells MW-6 and MW-4 These wells
are on the western and eastern property boundaries, respectively Results of this sample group indicated
that samples from wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-5, and MW-8 (the northern half of the site) did not
contain detectable concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) or benzene
5
