Blues Environmental Management !ne U-Haul#709-50 002-70950-04 Groundwater Momtonng Repvr[ 5130/03 • 1.0 INTRODUCTION j 1 This report presents a summary of activities and results of the groundwater monitoring program i conducted during the first quarter of 2003 (March 24 --27, 2003) at U-Haul Facility #709-50 located at 2701 North Wilson Way in Stockton, California The report presents a background of site conditions and ' a brief summary of the procedures and results for the most recentoundwater monitoring event � g 1 1 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION U-Haul Facility 709-50 is located at 2701 North Wilson Way, on the southwest corner of the intersection of North Wilson Way and Sanguineth Lane in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site is situated in a ' commercial area and is currently used as an equipment storage and rental facility The site is generally flat with a slight grade to the southeast The site elevation is approximately 21 feet above mean sea level A general site plan is included as Figure 2 lie 1 2 PROJECT AUTHORIZATION In January 1999, Blacs Environmental Management, Inc (Blaes Environmental) was contracted by Amerco Real Estate Company/L]-Haul International (U-Haul) to conduct a soil and groundwater remediation program at the site The remediation program included developing a Remedial Action Plan I ' (RAP), conducting remedial testing, and performing quarterly groundwater monitoring and reporting Prior to initiating remedial activities at the site, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health ' Department (SJCEHD) requested several additional groundwater monitoring events and site characterization activities to confirm the concentration of petroleum hydrocarbons and to further evaluate the extent of the hydrocarbon plume in groundwater at the site ' 13 PROJECT STATUS In November 2001, Blaes Environmental submitted a work plan to the SJCEHD detailing proposed work for the site 1 1
