' B13e5 E111"JoIllnenlal Managonenl Inc U ilaulg709 54 <br /> 002 70950 04 <br /> Groundwater Monitonng Report <br /> 1/23/03 <br /> i <br /> ' 3 0 GROUNDWATER MONITORING PROGRAM <br /> The groundwater monitoring program discussed below includes one monitoring event conducted in <br /> December 2002 The measurement and sampling methods employed throughout the groundwater <br /> ' monitoring event are discussed in the following sections <br /> ' 3 1 GROUNDWATER MEASUREMENTS—DECEMBER 2002 <br /> On December 3, 2002, Blaes Environmental measured the depth to groundwater in 18 of the 25 <br /> ' groundwater monitor well casings associated with the site The "A" casings did not contain water and <br /> thus were not measured Groundwater levels in the "B" and "C" well casings were measured from a <br /> ' surveyed point on the top of the monitoring well casing to the groundwater surface All water levels <br /> were measured to the nearest hundredth of a foot (0 01 ft ) using a Heron electronic water-level sounder <br /> The water level depth and time of measurement were recorded on a standard field data sheet The <br /> original field data sheets for this monitoring event are included in Appendix A and presented alongside <br /> ' . previous monitoring data in Table 2 Groundwater depth measurements were performed in accordance <br /> with Blaes Environmental groundwater monitoring procedures presented in Appendix B <br /> ' Groundwater depths recorded on December 3, 2002, ranged from approximately g pp ely 54 61 feet below top of <br /> ' casing (btoc) in well MW-7C to approximately 57 72 feet btoc in well MW-6C Groundwater elevations <br /> ranged from approximately 36 77 feet below mean sea level in well MW-8C to approximately 37 08 feet <br /> ' below mean sea level in wells MW-8A and MW-9B (Table 2) No free-phase hydrocarbons were <br /> observed in any of the wells during this groundwater sampling event Other observations collected <br /> ' during groundwater monitoring activities are presented on the field data sheet included in Appendix A <br /> ' The data from the "B" and "C" well casings were used to create groundwater condition maps showing <br /> the groundwater flow direction across the site On December 3, 2002, the average groundwater flow <br /> direction using data from the "B" well casings appears to be predominantly to the west across the site <br /> i (Figure 3) <br /> 1 <br /> • 5 <br />
