I ,
26 August 2013
AGE Project No. 95-0130
water samples (CTEL Laboratory I.D. Nos.CT214-1304127, -1305157 and -1306106) are
summarized in Table 2; laboratory reports are included in Appendix C; GeoTracker
confirmation numbers 4610996305, 2808427929 and 2453454196 confirm the upload of
the submitted laboratory electronic deliverable format (EDF) files.
Utilizing a 1-inch diameter, Master Meter's flow meter, total flow (totalizer) was recorded
between 18 March and 17 June 2013 (Table 1). During this time, the extraction and
treatment interim groundwater remediation system was in operation for approximately
91 days. Based on the total of approximately 202,430 gallons of water recorded during this
time,AGE estimated that an average 2,225 gallons ofwaterwas discharged per day during
this time.
3.6. MASS-VOLUME REMOVAL CALCULATIONS
During the 2nd quarter 2013,an estimated 37 pounds of total petroleum hydrocarbons were
extracted from groundwater(Table 4). As the system was initiated on 17 November 2004,
a total mass of 1,329 pounds of petroleum hydrocarbons have been removed by GWET
operations. The 2nd quarter 2013 mass-volume calculations of gasoline-impacted
groundwater extracted from the groundwater extraction and treatment system are
presented in Appendix E. Plots of cumulative groundwater pump and treat mass removal
trends and influent groundwater TPH-g concentrations versus time are included in
Appendix F.
4.0. SUMMARY & CONCLUSIONS
Based on SVE remediation data collected between March and June 2013,AGE concludes:
• TPH-g were detected in influent soil-vapor samples concentrations between
110 pg/I and 200 pg/I (Table 1); TPH-g were not detected in any of the effluent
samples. A plot of the influent TPH-g concentrations versus time is included in
Appendix B.Generally, influentTPH-g soil-vapor concentrations have been reported
at concentrations between 110 pg/I and 360 pg/I since November 2012.
• BTEX constituents were detected in influent soil-vapor samples at concentrations
as high as 4.6 pg/I total xylenes (Table 1). No BTEX constituents were detected
during the June 2013 sample. BTEX constituents were not detected in any of the
effluent air flow samples.
• MTBE was not detected in any SVE samples during the 2nd quarter; MTBE has not
been detected in any SVE samples collected from the site since October 2008.
Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc.
