26 August 2013
AGE Project No. 95-0130
• Generally, total SVE inlet flow rates averaged 67 cubic feet per minute (Table 2).
• The 2nd quarter 2013 mass of hydrocarbons extracted by the SVE system was
calculated to be 175 pounds (equivalent to 28 gallons) of petroleum hydrocarbons
(Appendix D; Table 3).
• Total petroleum hydrocarbon SVE extraction rates were estimated to be
approximately 1-4 pounds/day.
• Since initiation of the SVE system in November 2004, the adjusted total mass
extracted of petroleum hydrocarbons is calculated at 24,663 pounds.
The results of GWET groundwater remediation between March and June 2013 are as
follows:
• Approximately 202,430 gallons of hydrocarbon-impacted groundwater were
extracted from remediation wells EWA VW-1C, VW-2A and VW-3A (Table 1).
• Since March 2011, dissolved influent TPH-g concentrations have generally been
detected between 15,000 pg/I and 55,000 pg/I. Generally, the average dissolved
influent TPH-g concentrations have declined over the past year(i.e. four quarters).
However, the average dissolved influent TPH-g concentration did slightly increase
from 23,333 pg/I to 24,667 between the 1s` and 2nd quarters 2013, respectively.
• BTEX, MTBE and TAME concentrations fluctuated within normal ranges and no
trend was evident. A plot of the influent TPH-g concentrations versus time is
included in Appendix F.
• An estimated 37 pounds of total petroleum hydrocarbons were extracted from
groundwater during the 2nd Quarter 2013.
• Since initiation of the GWET system in November 2004, the total volume of
petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted water extracted is approximately 5,475,106
gallons (Table 4), while the mass of petroleum hydrocarbons removed from the
above total volume is estimated to be 1,329 pounds of dissolved petroleum
hydrocarbons.
• Dissolved total petroleum hydrocarbons were extracted by the GWET remediation
system at rates between 0.30 and 0.62 pounds/day.
Advanced CeoEnvironmenlal,Inc.
