I <br /> Ile 12 July 2006 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0130 <br /> Page 6 of 14 <br /> and 14 March 2006 from the influent and effluent of the catalytic oxidizer vapor recovery system to <br /> measure concentrations of hydrocarbon vapor The samples were collected in Tedlar bags utilizing <br /> an electric air-vacuum pump <br /> Following sample collection,the samples were properly labeled, placed in a covered container and <br /> transported under chain of custody to Cal Tech Environmental Laboratories, a DHS-certified <br /> laboratory in California Each sample was analyzed within 72 hours of collection for TPH-g,BTEX <br /> and MTBE in accordance with EPA Methods 8015M and 8020/8021 <br /> 3 3 SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION REMEDIATION FINDINGS <br /> From field and laboratory data collected at the SVE remediation system between 07 December 2005 <br /> and 14 March 2006, AGE determined the average TPH-g concentration, the average flow rate and <br /> calculated the approximate mass and volume of hydrocarbons removed <br /> I <br /> 3 3 1 RESULTS OF SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION <br /> Ile Between 07 December 2005 and 14 March 2006, the SVE remediation system was operational for <br /> approximately 2,243 hours (Tables 6 and 7) During this operational period, SVE inlet flow rates <br /> were generally observed to average approximately 90 cubic feet per minute, from a differential <br /> pressures observed at approximately 2 90 inches of water Utilizing a photo ionization meter(PID), <br /> hydrocarbon concentrations were measured at concentrations as high as 565 parts per million(ppm) <br /> at regular intervals at the SVE inlet Field measurements are summarized in Table 6 <br /> 3 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF VAPOR EXTRACTION AIR FLOW SAMPLES <br /> Influent and effluent SVE air flow samples were collected on 04 January, 07 February and 14 March <br /> 2006 TPH-g was detected in all three influent SVE air flow samples at concentrations as high as <br /> 2,000 µg/1 (March 2006) TPH-g was not detected in the above effluent air flow samples <br /> IVarious toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene constituents were detected in all three influent SVE air <br /> flow samples at concentrations as high as 37µg/1 toluene,6 5 µg/1 ethylbenzene and 39µg/1 xylenes, <br /> I benzene was not detected in ay samples Low concentrations of various toluene and xylene <br /> constituents were detected in the January and February 2006 effluent SVE air flow samples at <br /> concentrations as high as 4 5 Vtg/l toluene <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmentai,inc <br /> I <br />
