KLEINFELDER <br /> • Soil and water generated during the drilling and sampling will be the <br />' responsibility of the client Soil cuttings will be placed on plastic and covered <br /> Water generated from development and/or purging the wells along with <br /> equipment decontamination rinseate will be placed in 55-gallon drums and left <br />' on site Disposal or remediation options for the soil and water can be assessed <br /> once analytical results have been received Kleinfelder can assist the client with <br />' the disposal of soil and water if necessary <br /> • The client will be responsible for locating all underground utilities and other <br />' subsurface structures that could interfere with drilling operations or be damaged <br /> during drilling Failure to locate such lanes or structures will be the sole <br /> responsibility of the client Underground Services Alert (USA) at 1-800-642- <br /> 2444 provides this service free of charge for major utility lanes Kleinfelder can <br /> make contact with USA for a site visit, if requested <br />' • Groundwater is anticipated at a depth of approximately 60 to 70 feet below <br /> ground surface If groundwater is encountered at greater or lesser depths, costs <br /> will be adjusted accordingly <br /> • The proposed scope of work and cost estimate is based on the previously <br />' described scope of work If additional services are deemed necessary, the client <br /> will be notified immediately <br /> LIMITATIONS <br />' Kleinfelder offers various levels of investigative and engineering services to suit the varying <br /> needs of different clients Although risk can never be eliminated, more-detailed and <br /> extensive investigations yield more information, which may help understand and manage <br />' the level of risk Since detailed investigation and analysis involves greater expense, our <br /> clients participate in determining levels of service which provide adequate information for <br /> their purposes at acceptable levels of risk Acceptance of tlus proposal will indicate that <br /> tTop Falling Station has reviewed the scope of work and determined that it does not need or <br /> want a greater level of service than will be provided Any exceptions should be noted and <br /> may result in higher fees <br /> Regulations and professional standards applicable to K.l.einfelder's services are continually <br /> evolving Techniques are, by necessity, often new and relatively untried Different <br /> professionals may reasonably adopt different approaches to similar problems Therefore, no <br /> DH and 7EI94 Page 5 of 6 <br /> Copyright 1994 Kleinfelder Inc. <br /> 1 <br />
