PACIFIC <br /> \%W> ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> GROUP, INC _ l <br /> AN®COMPANY P:1, 12 <br /> ":1G <br /> 55 <br /> June 5, 1998 <br /> Project 920-122 IA <br /> IMr Brett Hunter <br /> Chevron Products Company <br /> P O Box 6004 <br /> San Ramon, CA 94583-0904 <br /> Re Report of Underground Storage Tank Replacement Activities and Work <br /> for Additional Site Investigation Plan <br /> Chevron Service Station 9-9840 <br /> 4344 Waterloo Road <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Hunter <br /> This report, prepared by Pacific Environmental Group, Inc (PEG) on behalf of Chevron <br /> Products Company(Chevron), presents the results of underground storage tank <br /> +� replacement activities at the site referenced above (Figures 1 and 2) Also presented is a <br /> Work Plan for additional site investigation The removal activities were outlined in PEG's <br /> Work Plan for Underground Storage Tank Replacement, dated November <br /> work plan was approved by Mr Michael J Infurna Jr of the San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services-Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS-EHD) on February 5, 1998 <br /> Field and laboratory procedures are presented in Attachment A <br /> SITE BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS INVESTIGATIONS <br /> The site is located at 4344 Waterloo Road near Highway 99 in Stockton, California USTs <br /> at the site are currently being upgraded to meet 1998 Federal and State UST guidelines <br /> The facility is being expanded to include a car wash and a convenience store during the <br /> upgrade No previous investigations have been conducted at the subject facility <br /> REMEDIAL ACTIVITIES <br /> 1 Remedial activities conducted at the subject facility included source removal of obviously <br /> impacted soil during UST removal and replacement, in accordance with the approved <br /> Work Plan UST vessels and ancillary piping were removed by Henderson Construction <br /> and transported by Ecology Control Industries, Inc (formerly Erickson, Inc ) to their <br /> disposal facility in Richmond, California for cleaning and destruction Approximately 725 <br /> cubic yards of hydrocarbon-impacted soil were removed from the UST excavations and <br /> transported to the BFI Landfill in Livermore, California for disposal Removed soil was <br /> i 315 Sunrvse Gold Circle Shite M • Rancho Cordova California 95742.6534 <br /> (916) 858-2350 FAX (916) 858-2355 <br />
