t Former Beacon Station No 124I9 March 18,2002 Stockton California Problem Assessment Re ort/Corrective Action Plan Department of Health Services-certified analytical laboratory (ELAP No 2236) located in Davis, California The boring soil samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), the volatile aromatic compounds benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX), the seven fuel oxygenates methyl-tert-butyl ether (MTBE), diisopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl-tert-butyl ether (ETBE), tert-amyl. methyl ether (TAME), tert-butanol (TBA), methanol and ethanol, and the lead scavenger compounds 1,2- dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) and 1,2-dibromoethane (1,2-DBA) by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 8260B The stockpile soil samples were analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, and MTBE by EPA Method 826013, and for total lead by EPA Method 6010 Soil analytical results are summarized in Table 3 Copies of the analytical data reports and chain-of- custody documents are contained in Appendix F 6.2 Monitoring Well Development, Surveying and Sampling Monitoring well MW-11 and air sparge wells AS-2 and AS-3 were developed, sampled and surveyed on 20 October 2000 utilizing the methods described in Appendix D Groundwater level and field sampling data were recorded on the Monitoring Well Data and Observation Summary Sheets contained in Appendix G The tops of the well casings (TOCs) were surveyed relative to existing wells at the site Well head elevation survey data are summarized in Table 4 The three groundwater samples were submitted, under chain-of-custody documentation, to Kiff and analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, the seven oxygenates, and the lead scavenger compounds I,2-DCA and 1,2-DBA by EPA Method 8260B Groundwater level and analytical results are summarized in Table 1 Copies of the analytical data reports and chain- of-custody documents are contained in Attachment F 419PARCAP3-02 doc 8 Project No 1419 23 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC.
