Former Beacon Station No 12419 March 1 S,2002 <br /> Stockton California Problem Assessment Report/Corrective Action Plan <br /> . The problem assessment portion of this report includes summaries of the results of previous <br /> investigations at the site including distribution of gasoline hydrocarbons in soil and <br /> groundwater The corrective action plan portion of this report presents site remedial <br /> objectives for gasoline hydrocarbons, and technically and economically feasible remedial <br /> alternatives for soil and groundwater to protect potential beneficial uses of groundwater <br /> beneath the site <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is an operating gasoline service station located on the southwestern corner of the <br /> intersection of Waterloo Road and Sierra Lane to Stockton, California as shown on Figure 2 <br /> Site facilities include a station building in the western portion of the site, two gasoline <br /> product dispenser islands located in the central portion of the site, and three USTs located in <br /> the eastern portion of the site <br /> Stockton is located in the northern San Joaquin Valley portion of the Great Valley geologic <br /> province of California The essentially level site is situated at an elevation of approximately <br /> 22 feet mean sea level in Section 36, Township 2 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo <br /> Baseline and Meridian The regional topography slopes gently southwestward <br /> 3.0 REGIONAL AND LOCAL HYDROGEOLOGY <br /> The site is situated in the central portion of the Great Valley Geomorphic Province otherwise <br /> known as the Central Valley of California The Central Valley consists of two broad, <br /> topographically distinct, alluvial valleys the Sacramento Valley in the north, and the San <br /> Joaquin Valley in the south These two valleys meet in the area of the inland delta formed <br /> by the confluence of the San Joaquin and Sacramento Rivers Stockton is situated in the <br /> northern San Joaquin Valley just east of and adjacent to the San Joaquin/Sacramento River <br /> delta system <br /> 419PARCAP3-02 doc 2 <br /> Project No 1419 23 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br />
